Lounge Chairs

Well-proportioned and well designed, the Elizabeth Lounge Chair profiles a majestic elegance that underpins its royal name. Originally called the Model U56, it was later dubbed Elizabeth Chair after Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip purchased two of them during an official visit to Denmark in 1958. The chair's sculpted armrests combined with the leather-upholstered low seat and sleigh-like back make it a prime example of Danish Modern.

Originally Ingeborg was designed in 1940 by Flemming Lassen. The chair was designed by Master carpenter Jakob kjær, who manufactured Flemming Lassen's furniture for The Carpenters guild Annual Furniture Exhibition. The charming little easy chair is named after Flemming and Mogens Lassen's mother, the artist Ingeborg Winding. Ingeborg is a perfect match for the new sofa, called Vilhelm. The sofa is named after the brothers' father Hans Vilhelm Lassen who was a decorative artist. It's a beautiful reunion of Vilhelm and Ingeborg.

AUDO COPENHAGEN (formerly known as Menu) Knitting Chair - Defined by an exposed, triangular construction, a gently curved seat and back ideally pitched for relaxation, and distinctive cut-outs for resting the elbows when reading (or, of course, knitting), the Knitting Chair affirmed Kofod-Larsen’s reputation as a master of proportion and unexpected, sculptural form. It was put into production, but only as a limited edition. Since then, the elegant, inventive design has become an increasingly valuable and sought-after collector’s item.

Originally dubbed Model 9, the Oda Chair was an ambitious design from the very beginning. Created by Arnold Madsen in around 1956, the aesthetic reinterpretation of an armchair has a complex horseshoe construction with an integrated headrest and beautifully incorporated armrests in wood.
